Day Activity Centre (DAC)

DAC provides a fun, relaxed, and friendly environment for adults with learning differences who require high needs or support in their daily living. Our friendly and unique environment allows the opportunity for everyone to take part in a variety of life skills, learning, creative and social activities.

DAC aims for these adults to achieve something however big or small and prides itself on creating a structured yet conducive environment that is suited to everyone's needs.

 

Highlights:

  • Age: 16 and above
  • Duration: 5 hours; Monday to Thursday and 3.5hrs; Friday.
  • Frequency: 5 days; Monday to Friday and 3 days; Wednesday to Friday
  • Teacher to the adult ratio: 1:5 / 1:3 for the class where the adults require additional needs
  • Classroom capacity: 10 / 6
  • Focus: Life skills, creative, social, and physical activities. 
  • Fee for 5 days: $690/mth (Singaporeans and PR) $990/mth (Foreigners)
  • Fee for 3 days: $590/mth (Singaporeans and PR) $790/mth (Foreigners)

T:ED (5 - 30 yrs old)

T:ED (5 - 30 yrs old)
A weekend enrichment program that focuses on ethical and behavior management to ensure that typical individuals, as well as those with learning differences, are aware of their roles and responsibilities individually and in the community.
Highlights:
  •  Age: 5 to 30 years old

  • Duration and frequency: 2 hours; Saturday or Sunday.

  • Teacher to the adult ratio: 1:4 / 1:3 for the class where the students require additional needs

  • Classroom capacity: 8 / 6

  • Focus: Emotions and behavior management, civics, moral and spiritual values, and group intervention.

  • Fee: $175/mth (Singaporeans and PR) $375/mth (Foreigners)

    Student Care (Before and After School Care)

     

    Inclusive student care that provides educational support, social-emotional, civics, and moral values, and life skills for independent living; for typical children and those with learning differences.

    Highlights:

    • Age: 7 to 14 years old 
    • Duration during School Term: 6 hours (7 am to 1 pm / 1 pm to 7 pm)
    • Duration during School Holiday: 12 hours (7 am to 7 pm)
    • Frequency: 5 days; Monday to Friday and 3 days; Wednesday to Friday
    • Teacher to student ratio: 1:5 / 1:3 for the class where the adults require additional needs
    • Classroom capacity: 10 / 6
    • Fees for Special Needs individuals (5 days): $850/mth before subsidy - (Singaporeans and PR) $1050/mth (Foreigners). 
    • Fees for Special Needs individuals (3 days): $650/mth before subsidy - (Singaporeans and PR) $850/mth (Foreigners).
    • Fees for Neurotypical individuals (5 days): $250/mth before subsidy - (Singaporeans and PR) $490/mth (Foreigners).  
    • Fees for Neurotypical individuals (3 days): $230/mth before subsidy - (Singaporeans and PR) $450/mth (Foreigners).  
    • Fee subsidy is provided by MSF under the Student Care Fee Assistant. (SCFA)

    Preparatory Program (3 - 7 yrs old)


    For every typical young learner as well as those with learning differences, each experience or encounter presents a learning opportunity. They learn by seeing, doing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and tasting.  Hence, this inclusive program has been thoughtfully designed and customized to the needs of young learners with various abilities to learn using their senses, identified strengths, and varied learning styles; in a safe, structured, vibrant, and engaging environment. In addition, young learners will be equipped with the required skills to transition to the primary level.

     

    Highlights:

    • Age: 3 to 7 years old
    • Duration and frequency: 3 hours; Monday to Friday
    • Teacher to student ratio: 1:4 / 1:3 for the class where the students require additional needs
    • Classroom capacity: 8 / 6
    • Focus: Multisensory approach, emerging language, cognitive skills, social-emotional development, civics and moral values, intervention, and pre-academic skills
    • Fee: $750/mth (Singaporeans and PR) $1050 (Foreigners)

      Bridging Program (7 - 9 yrs old)

       

      This program provides an appropriate bridge to meet the various needs of young learners with learning differences, to ease their transition into the primary level.  It allows more time and space for young learners to be better prepared emotionally, socially, mentally, and academically, in the next phase of their learning journey.
      Highlights:
      • Age: 7 to 9 years old
      • Duration and frequency: 3 hours; Monday to Friday
      • Teacher to student ratio: 1:4 / 1:3 for the class where the students require additional needs
      • Classroom capacity: 8 / 6
      • Focus: Social-emotional awareness, civics and moral values, independent and daily living skills, intervention, and functional academic skills.
      • Fee: $790/mth (Singaporeans and PR) $1090 (Foreigners)

      Work Readiness Adult Program (WRAP)

      A program that provides students with learning differences, a curriculum, that prepares them for the job that they are capable of doing.  Also, students will gain an understanding of themselves and their abilities, interests, and values; gain an understanding of the world of work; and acquire effective decision-making skills. All these areas will allow them to make realistic and informed decisions about work. They will also be taught explicitly the skills that are necessary for survival in the workplace and in the community. 

       

      Highlights:
      • Age: 16 to 30 years old
      • Duration and frequency: 5 hours; Monday to Thursday and 3.5 hours; Friday.
      • Teacher to student ratio: 1:5 / 1:3 for the class where the students require additional needs
      • Classroom capacity: 10 / 6
      • Focus: Academic skills, communication skills, social and interpersonal skills, civics and moral values, critical thinking skills, occupational and vocational skills.
      • Fee: $550/mth before subsidy (Singaporeans and PR) $750/mth (Foreigners)
